TCU Women's Golf Set for Season Debut

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU women's golf team opens its 2013-14 campaign Monday at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Wolcott, Colo.

The 54-hole tournament, over three days, will be played on the par 72, 6,262-yard Red Sky Golf Club. Live scoring is available at www.Golfstat.com. TCU's Monday tee times begin at 11 a.m. CDT.

Joining the Horned Frogs in the field are Ball State, Boston College, Central Arkansas, Denver, East Tennessee State, Florida International, Harvard, Illinois State, Indiana, James Madison, Morehead State, Northern Arizona, Pepperdine, San Jose State, SMU, UALR and UC Davis.

TCU's lineup will include Kortnie Maxoutopoulis, April McCoy, Sanna Nuutinen, Chaney Uhles and Alex White.

Maxoutopoulis is in her first full season at TCU. The Pleasanton, Calif., native transferred mid-year from Rutgers in 2012-13. Playing in each spring tournament for the Horned Frogs, Maxoutopoulis placed third on the team with a 77.0 average.

McCoy had TCU's lone individual title a year ago when she captured medalist honors at the Windy City Collegiate Classic. The junior from Carrollton, Texas, was fourth on the Horned Frogs last season with a 77.4 mark.

Nuutinen, the Horned Frogs' lone senior, posted a team-best 75.2 stroke average last year. She had five top-20 results, including three top-10 finishes.

Uhles, a Fort Worth native, will be making her TCU debut. She sat out last season after transferring from Central Oklahoma. As a sophomore for UCO in 2011-12, Uhles tied for fifth at the NCAA Division II Championships.

White is a freshman from Fort Worth. A four-time champion at American Junior Golf Association tournaments, she also captured eight titles at AJGA qualifiers and four championships on the Golfweek Junior Tour.

Under head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin, set to begin her 20th season, TCU has made 18 consecutive postseason appearances.
