FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU women's golf team returns to action Monday when it begins play at the Windy City Collegiate Classic in Highland Park, Ill.

The Horned Frogs are playing in the Windy City Collegiate Classic for the sixth straight fall, representing all six years the tournament has been held and hosted by Northwestern.

At last year's event, TCU's April McCoy carded a career-best 69 to overcome a four stroke final-round deficit and win the individual championship. She finished with a 2-under-par 214. The Horned Frogs were 12th as a team.

This year's Windy City Collegiate Classic is being held at the par 71, 6,108-yard Northmoor Country Club. Monday's opening 36 holes will begin with a 7:30 a.m. CDT shotgun start. The tournament will conclude with the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Live scoring is available at www.Golfstat.com.

The Horned Frogs opened their fall season last week with a third-place finish out of 18 teams at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Wolcott, Colo. Sanna Nuutinen was the top TCU finisher as her 1-over 217 placed third individually.

Four of TCU's five golfers at the Windy City Collegiate Classic competed in the Golfweek Conference Challenge. In addition to McCoy and Nuutinen, Kortnie Maxoutopoulis and Alex White will be in their second tournaments of the season. Alexandra Bonetti will make her 2013-14 debut.

Maxoutopoulis carded a career best and final-round 69 for the Horned Frogs at the Golfweek Conference Challenge, enabling her to post a TCU personal-best tie for 14th.

White, a freshman from Fort Worth, tied for 47th in her first collegiate tournament.

Bonetti was the lone Horned Frog to play in all 11 tournaments last season. Her 75.5 stroke average placed second on the team.

TCU is in the midst of a stretch in which it will play in four tournaments over a 23-day period.
