Emanuelsson sets pace for TCU at Lady Paladin Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Led by Elin Emanuelsson's even-par 72, the TCU women's golf team is in fifth place after today's opening round of the Lady Paladin Invitational in Greenville, S.C.

The Frogs shot a 301 and are nine strokes behind host Furman (292). Mississippi State is second at 298 with Northwestern and Michigan State deadlocked for third with a 300.

Emanuelsson is tied for sixth, two strokes behind College of Charleston's Angie Hill (35-35-70) for the individual lead. Emanuelsson, a junior from Nacka, Sweden, carded a 38-34-72.

Tomorrow's second round will begin at 8:30 a.m. (EST).
