TCU Athletes of the Week

Oct. 24, 2017

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Kenny Hill from football and Emmy Martin from women's golf have been named TCU's Athletes of the Week based on outstanding performances in the past week.

Hill, the senior quarterback from Southlake, Texas, has led the Horned Frogs offense to victories this entire season. Last Saturday, in the win against Kansas, he matched his career high with five touchdown passes, and tied for second-most in a game in TCU history. The team captain also started off with a notable pass to Desmon White, giving TCU an opening-drive touchdown for the fourth time this season. Hill was 19-of-26 for 278 yards and had no interceptions.

Martin carded a 7-under-par 65 to lead the Horned Frogs into a second place standing after the second round of the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational in San Antonio, Texas this week. She was just one stroke shy of a school record, and is expected to continue her success throughout the rest of the tournament. Martin also totaled eight birdies and recorded par on nine holes. The senior from Odessa, Fla. birdied five of her opening eight holes, including three in a row in one stretch.
