Wales native Dewi Hardman enters his fifth season as a coach of the TCU Horned Frogs. This season, Hardman enters his first as an assistant coach, after serving two years as a graduate assistant and two years as the Frogs' second assistant.

After a stellar career in Wales, Hardman came to the United States in 1986 to play collegiate soccer at Wake Forest University for U.S. coaching legend Walt Chyzowych. Hardman was part of Chyzowych's first recruiting class at Wake Forest.

His Demon Deacon teams were very successful, advancing to the NCAA Tournament on two occasions. During his senior year of 1989, Wake Forest won the Atlantic Coast Conference and was ranked as high as third in the nation.

In two coaching stints at his alma mater, Hardman helped Wake Forest advance to the NCAAs twice in four seasons. He is a USSF "A" licensed coach.

Hardman, 37, also has coached a pair of North Carolina club teams to state titles. A political science major, Hardman taught high school social studies for three years in North Carolina.

In the spring of 2004, Hardman took his 1986 Olympic Development Team to the national finals in Las Vegas, Nev. for the first time in his coaching career. His team fell by a 1-0 score to the National Champions from southern California.

Hardman resides in Fort Worth.
