The Illini broke the game open with a trio of goals in a span of 4:45 early in the second half. TCU didn’t go quietly as it continued to push for another goal. The Horned Frogs dominated the final 30 minutes of the match but couldn’t find the back of the net.

Quotes of the Game
Head Coach Eric Bell
“I think we have to be better at paying attention to detail. At some points we did and at others we didn’t and they punished us for it.”

“We created enough chances to win the game. There were chances that we created and then there were chances that we have to be more clinical about and finish. Defensively, we have to be better.”

“The efforts for some parts was good, but for others not good enough. We are learning some hard lessons and it’s testing us for sure, but we will be better for it.
