It was all TCU in the second half as it hit the ground running. The Frogs outshot the Redbirds 9-1 in the half and didn’t give up any chances. A goal from Emma Heckendorn gave TCU some breathing room in the 56th minute. Heckendorn took a long stretch pass from Makenzie Koch and raced in on goal. The keeper came out to challenge, but Heckendorn dribbled around her and sent the shot into a wide-open net.

Quotes of the Game
Head Coach Eric Bell
“Today was a true team effort. We showed our depth, which was important on a hot day. We were able to come through with a couple goals and get the win.”

“We talked at half about what happened on Friday and we didn’t let that happen today. I thought we came out of the half with more energy and great intensity. Even with all the substitutions, the group responded with the same level of intensity if not higher. The back line was very good and Shannon not really tested which is a credit to them.”

“We are looking forward to being home. We will have the comfort of our stadium and good crowds. We are excited and looking forward to it. Hopefully our fans are excited to see this edition of TCU soccer.”

Shannon Coffer made her first start since Nov. 6, 2013 against Texas Tech.
Shannon Coffer tallied her second career shutout and her first since Oct. 25, 2013 against Iowa State. • Allison Ganter recorded her first career goal. The goal stood up as the game-winner for TCU.
