NORMAN, Okla. - The TCU Horned Frogs dropped their second match of the season at the OU Soccer complex on Friday night. The Oklahoma Sooners defeated the Frogs, 5-0 for their first win of the season. The Frogs gave up two goals in the first half and three in the second en route to the loss. OU outshot TCU, 28-7 on the night.

Jessi Moore tried to give the Frogs the early lead as she had the first shot for the Frogs. She took a Breanne Kaldheim pass from midfield and took the quick shot, but OU goalkeeper Catherine Wade was there for the stop. TCU kept the pressure up as Kim Ozenick belted a shot Wade's way, but she was there for the stop.

The Frogs gave up four corner kicks early in the first half and the Sooners finally made them pay. Ashley Pierret made a save on the first corner as she punched it over the back of the net. The Sooners found the back of the net on the second corner as Allyson Kucera took a corner feed from Shana All and headed it past TCU goalkeeper Ashley Pierret for the first goal of the game in the 24th minute.

The Sooners were looking to make it a 2-0 game when Lauren MacIver broke in alone with only Pierret to beat. Pierret challenged the shot and blocked the ball out of danger. The two-goal lead came four minutes later as the Sooners took advantage of another corner kick. Tenesha Duncan took a feed from Christy Kenkel and shot it high over Pierret's head.

Despite the two goals, Pierret had a strong half in goal as she faced 12 shots, six on goal. She made four saves. After the early push in the half, the Frogs offense cooled as the Sooners held the Frogs to just four shots.

Moore was the offensive threat for TCU as she single-handedly tried to get the Frogs back in the game. After taking a rough hit deep in the offensive zone, she took the direct kick and just missed her first goal of the season but a hair as Wade made the stop. Moore and Wade face each other down again, but Moore was unable to solve Wade as she was there for her fifth stop of the game.

Pierret came up with a big save with 23 minutes to go in the game as she stopped Kady Kelly cold. Kelly was in alone on goal and Pierret challenged the shot, smothering it before it crossed the line, but a minute later OU put the game out of reach. Savannah Scott found the back of the goal unassisted, beating Pierret low to the right side. MacIver made it 4-0 as she ended Pierret's night.

Lindsey White made her debut in goal for the Frogs, she allowed one goal and made two saves in her 20 minutes of work.

TCU returns to the pitch on Sunday as they host the Jacksonville (Ala.) State Gamecocks. Game time for Sunday's match is set for 1:00 at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium. Following Sunday's match, the Frogs will hit the road for five straight matches.
