TAMPA, Fla. -- The TCU women's soccer team (7-5-0, 3-2-0 C-USA) won its fourth consecutive match on the year, outlasting the Bulls of South Florida (4-6-2, 1-3-1 C-USA) in a 4-3 scoring battle in Conference USA action Friday evening. The Frogs have now scored eight goals in their last two matches, their most in a two-game span since 1999 when TCU posted 4-3 and 4-1 wins over Tulsa and San Jose State.

The game's first goal came in the 14th minute at the foot of USF's Aleia Long after she banged in a cross from Jen Stahl. Amy Wallsmith was also credited with an assist on the goal.

The Bulls increased their lead to 2-0 with ten minutes left in the first half when Laura Tucker headed in a cross from Kim Martins for her first score of the year.

The Frogs responded two minutes later with junior forward Nicole Carman's goal off a pass from sophomore defender Adrianne Jett. The Arlington-native has now tallied four goals in her last three matches to bring her season total to five.

In the second half, the Frogs put together a scoring barrage with three goals in the first 27 minutes of play, two of which were scored by freshman forward Laura Greenberg. Greenberg currently leads the team in points (14), goals (7) and shot percentage. (36.8%). Freshman midfielder Cara Toulouse and junior midfielder Lori Robbins assisted on her scores.

The Frogs' final goal was scored by sophomore midfielder Jenny Swanson, with an assist given to senior forward Crystal Pratz. Swanson's goal was her second on the season and her first game-winner on the year. Pratz's assist brought her season total to six, the third most in one season by a Horned Frog in the program's 15-year history.

The Bulls mounted a comeback in the 77th minute with Christine Koester's first goal of the year, but TCU sophomore goalkeeper Shannon Wagner and the Frog defense would hold on to their precarious one-goal lead for the win.

The Horned Frogs now travel to Birmingham, Ala. for a C-USA showdown with the UAB Blazers at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14.
