KANSAS CITY -- Allison Ganter's goal in the 51st minute broke a scoreless tie and stood up as the game-winner as TCU advanced to the Big 12 Championship semifinal game with a 1-0 win over No. 2 seed Kansas.

The Rundown
Kansas outshot TCU 4-3 in the first half, but it was the Frogs that had the two shots on goal. KU keeper Maddie Dobyns was equal to both tasks hauling in a shot from Kayla Hill and McKenzie Oliver.

TCU came out with speed in the second half and capitalized early to take a 1-0 lead. A strong run and battle from Tara Smith earned TCU a corner kick. Michelle Prokof's feed to the back post found Karitas Tomasdottir. She headed it back towards goal and Allison Ganter dug the ball out of the scrambling feet to tap it home for a 1-0 lead.

With Kansas pushing for the equalizer late in the game, Katie Lund came up huge. Katie McClure broke in on her own and fired a low shot from in tight, but Lund made a diving stop to keep the Horned Frogs in the lead.

Lund had to come up big again with just under nine minutes remaining as TCU was called for a foul about 20 yards out. McClure once again tested Lund low and to her right, but she had the answer as she lunged for the save.

The Frogs limited KU to just two shots on goal and three corners.
