Soccer Inks Heckendorn To NLI

FORT WORTH - TCU soccer head coach announced the signing of Emma Heckendorn to an NLI. With her addition, the 2014 signing class now stands at 14 members.
"We are very excited to have Emma join our soccer family," said head coach Eric Bell. "Playing with the Dallas Sting, she brings a wealth of great experiences that will allow her to have an immediate impact in our team. She is a very hardworking player that is driven to succeed. I think a lot of people will become quick fans of her after having the opportunity to see her play."
Heckendorn, a 5-7 forward, is a local product out of Flower Mound High School. She played club soccer with Sting Soccer Club in addition to being a four-year standout at Flower Mound. Under the guidance of Tatu Pecorari with Sting, she was the leading goal scorer and helped her squad to the 2011 State Cup and Region III championships. Heckendorn was tabbed the tournament MVP of the championships. Sting was a ECNL National Finalists from 2011-13 and won the whole thing in 2013.
At Flower Mound, Heckendorn was a three-time first-team all-district performer. Twice she was tabbed the district MVP as well as being her high school team's MVP. She has netted over 60 goals in her high school career to go along with over 50 assists.
She will be a freshman in the fall.
