FORT WORTH - On Saturday, April 5, the TCU women's soccer team hosted area Special Olympic athletes for the second year in a row. Approximately 25 athletes from Dallas and Fort Worth attended a soccer clinic.

Members of the soccer team as well as coaches Eric Bell, Ryan Higginbotham and Kelsey Davis were on hand to provide coaching tips and skills instruction. The coaches and players led the athletes through a two-hour clinic. The athletes participated in dribbling drills, passing drills and relay races. They also got the chance to scrimmage with the TCU players. The clinic concluded with a dance contest that allowed the athletes to show off some of their moves.

The experience for both coaches and athletes will go a long way in preparing them for the upcoming Special Olympic Summer games, which are slated to take place May 22-25 in Arlington.
