Aug. 8, 2013

FORT WORTH - TCU soccer sophomore defender Bobbi Clemmer was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 soccer team. She was honored on the Big 12 All-Newcomer squad as a freshman.

Clemmer is the first Horned Frog soccer player to earn preseason recognition since TCU joined the Big 12 on July 1, 2012. She is coming off an impressive debut season that saw her start 20 of TCU's 21 matches. Up until an injury in the second to last game of the season, Clemmer had played every minute of the season for the Horned Frogs. She tallied three assists on the season and helped TCU record a school-record eight shutouts.

The 2013 regular season gets underway on Aug. 23 at the Montana Invitational. The Horned Frogs will meet up with an old conference foe as they play Wyoming in the season-opener, which is set for a 4 p.m. (CT) start.
