Prokof Earns Preseason Accolade

Aug. 11, 2016

FORT WORTH – TCU soccer senior Michelle Prokof has been named a Big 12 Preseason All-Conference performer. The accolade is the first of her career and the fourth straight year TCU has had a representative on the preseason team.

Prokof is coming off a stellar junior campaign that saw her lead the team with nine goals and 21 points. Her efforts on the field earned her second-team all-conference accolades. It was the second time she was recognized by the league as she was also named second-team all-conference as a freshman.

She will be looking to continue her assault on the TCU record book this season. Prokof ranks fifth all-time in both goals scored (21) and career points (51). She has appeared in 56 games, starting 55, over the course of her career. Of her 21 career goals, Prokof has seven game-winning goals.

The 2016 regular season is set to get underway on Aug. 19 when TCU heads east to take on Maryland. First kick is set for 6 p.m.
