Oliver, Heiser Earn Big 12 Accolades

FORT WORTH – TCU soccer players McKenzie Oliver (Player) and Natalee Heiser (Freshman) were honored by the Big 12 with its first weekly honors of the season after helping TCU to a 2-0 start to the season.

Oliver was named the Big 12 Player of the Week after leading TCU with six points (2 goals/2 assists) off of the bench. She tallied two primary assists in Friday’s 5-0 win over ULM, while taking one shot on goal in the game and played 41 minutes. On Sunday, she tallied the fourth and fifth goals in the win over UTSA. She converted her only two shots in the game and played 40 minutes.

Heiser was tabbed the Big 12 Freshman of the Week on the heels of a two-goal outburst in the season-opener against ULM. She took four shots, three of which were on goal in the game while playing just 41 minutes. Both goals came in just a four-minute span in the second half. She played 55 minutes in Sunday’s win over UTSA, registering one shot on goal.

TCU hits the road for the first time this season when it heads to Colorado for a pair of games. Friday’s match is set for a 5:30 p.m. (CT) start on the Pac 12 Network.
