Arnold Named Big 12 Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas -- TCU junior goalkeeper Vittoria Arnold has been named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for her performance this past weekend against No. 25 LSU and Houston Baptist. The honor is the first of the season and the third of her career.

Arnold saw over 200 minutes of action during the weekend and finished 1-0-1 after a pair of overtime contests against No. 25 LSU and Houston Baptist. She registered her ninth career shutout with three saves against LSU in Baton Rouge on Friday night. In the Horned Frogs contest on Sunday against Houston Baptist, she allowed only one goal, a penalty kick late in the game. She collected five saves in the win over the Huskies.

TCU (2-1-1) opens its home slate Friday night when the Horned Frogs host Illinois State. Kickoff is set 7 p.m.
