Hill Earns Big 12 Weekly Award

FORT WORTH – TCU soccer midfielder Kayla Hill has been named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week in helping the Horned Frogs to a 2-0 record over the weekend. The Frogs are off to an historical 5-0 start to the 2016 campaign. The award is the first for Hill and the second for TCU this season.

Hill notched a goal and three assists on the weekend. In Friday’s win over Illinois, she assisted on the opening goal before converting a penalty kick in the second half that stood up as the eventual game-winner. In Sunday’s 7-0 win over Texas Southern, the sophomore tallied a pair of assists. The first assist came on the opening goal of the game. Her second helper came in the second half on a Michelle Prokof tally that made it a 3-0 game.

Katie Lund was named the Big 12’s Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 23.
