Arnold Earns Big 12 Accolade

FORT WORTH - TCU women's soccer senior goalkeeper Vittoria Arnold has been named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for her performance against LSU and Abilene Christian.

Arnold posted back-to-back shutouts as TCU defeated LSU and Abilene Christian to move to 3-3 on the season. The senior goalie tallied five saves versus the Tigers on 12 shots, including three saves in a scoreless first half. She then had six stops, including five in the second half, against ACU. Arnold is tied for the Big 12 lead in shutouts (3) and ranks third in saves (22) and save percentage (.846) this season.

The Horned Frogs hit the road this weekend for a pair of matches against in-state foes. TCU takes on Texas State Friday night at 7 before wrapping up the weekend with a 6:30 kick against Sam Houston State on Sunday.
