Rivalary Weekend Continues For Soccer Sunday

FORT WORTH - The TCU women's soccer team, winner's of five straight, will hit the road for  its final non-conference match Sunday. The Horned Frogs will head north for a 1 p.m. match at North Texas.

ABOUT THE HORNED FROGS
TCU enters the match with a 6-3 record. The Frogs stretched their winning streak to five straight with a dominating 4-1 win over SMU on Friday night.

Vittoria Arnold had to make just two saves in the match. The offense backed her with goals from Emma Heckendorn, Kela Gray, Lauren Sajewich and Eryn Spencer. For Heckendorn, the goal was her team-leading fourth. Spencer's goal was the first of her career. In addition, Michelle Prokof dished out two assists.

ABOUT THE MEAN GREEN
North Texas dropped a heart-breaking 2-1 double overtime decision to Gonzaga Friday night. The loss moved North Texas' record to 6-2. North Texas opened the season with five straight wins, but have lost two of its last three. Both losses have come in overtime.

Karla Pineda scored the lone goal for North Texas in the first half. Despite outshooting Gonazaga 22-15, the Bulldogs netted a second-half goal and won it with a goal in the 107th minute. In goal, Jackie Kerenstine made six saves on eight shots.
