Soccer Announces Winter Camps

Sept. 27, 2017

FORT WORTH - The TCU women's soccer program will host its fifth annual Winter ID Camp Feb. 10-11 in the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility. The camp will feature coaches from around the country and is open to high school females only.

This two-day event is designed for advanced player development and exposure to some of the nation's top college coaches. College Coaches from across the region and country will be in attendance, and will represent Divisions I, II and III. In addition to college coaches, several Horned Frog players will be employed by the camp for demonstration purposes.

The TCU Soccer Staff believes that "the game is the best teacher." The same philosophy will be applied at camp. The focus of all activities will be learning through play. Enrollment in the camp will be extremely limited to allow individual attention for each player from the staff of college coaches. A combination of small sided and full 11 vs. 11 games will be at the core of the camp curriculum. The camp will also feature a college talk seminar.

Additionally, TCU has added a College Discovery Camp aimed at girls in grades 6-8. The camp, scheduled for Jan. 13-14, is a finishing and goalkeeper school run by the TCU soccer staff. The camp allows players a unique opportunity to work with current college coaches and TCU players and will focus on technical development, quickness, and movement with the ball in finishing settings.

Cost of the camps is $295 each. To register, contact assistant coach Sebastian Vecchio at admin@ericbellsocceracademy or register online here.
