The Horned Frogs suffered a 2-1 loss to No. 21 West Virginia Friday night in their inaugural Big 12 contest. Makenzie Koch got the Frogs on the board first in the first period, scoring her third goal of the season off a deflection of a Kelly Johnson shot. West Virginia rallied to tie the game late in the first half and made an early second half goal stand up.
KANSAS' LAST TIME OUT
Record: 7-3-1, 1-1-0 Big 12
Playing in its first road game of the season, Kansas dropped a 1-0 decision at Baylor on Friday night. The Bears' Lisa Sliwinski scored an unassisted goal in the 87th minute to break a 0-0 tie and earn the 1-0 win. Jayhawk goalkeeper Kaitlyn Stroud made eight saves in the loss, while Whitney Berry fired two shots on goal to lead the Jayhawks.
TCU and Kansas are meeting on the soccer pitch for the first time in program history.
