Eight Frogs Named Academic All-Big 12

SAN ANTONIO - Eight members of the TCU women's soccer team were selected to the Academic All-Big 12 squad. Seven of the eight selections were honored as first-team performers.

To qualify for first-team Academic All-Big 12, athletes must have a GPA of 3.20 or better and have participated in at least 60% of the team's contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible to earn recognition. Seven of the eight team members who met the qualifications were honored as first-team performers.

Earning first-team recognition were: Monica Alvarado (Accounting), Kristen Barg (Middle School Eduacation), Maddy Courvoisier (Movement Science), Kelly Johnson (Biology), Ashley Jones (Marketing), Morgan Lane (Biology) and Brittany Slyman (Nursing).

To earn a spot on the second-team Academic All-Big 12, athletes will boast a GPA of 3.00 to 3.19. The Horned Frogs Becca Rowland (Child Development) earned a spot on the second team.
