Trio Of Horned Frogs Honored By League

Nov. 2, 2015

FORT WORTH - For the second time in her career, TCU soccer’s Bobbi Clemmer has been tabbed a first-team All-Big 12 performer. She headlines a trio of Horned Frogs to be honored by league coaches.

Junior Michelle Prokof and sophomore Emma Heckendorn earned second-team All-Big 12 conference. For Prokof, it’s the second time she has earned second-team all-conference honors, having done so as a freshman in 2013.

Clemmer has been honored by the league in each of her four collegiate seasons. As a freshman, she was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman squad. She was tabbed first-team all-conference as a sophomore and earned second-team honors as a junior. She is the first Horned Frog since Jordan Calhoun to earn first-team all-conference honors twice in her career.

This season, Clemmer has started 17 of the team’s 18 games. She has a goal and an assist and has helped the Frogs post a 1.07 GAA from her defensive position. Her 1,494 minutes on the field this season ranks third among all Horned Frogs.

Prokof paces the team and ranks third in the Big 12 with 21 points this season. Her nine goals are third among players in the conference. She leads the team with 34 shots, 18 of which have been on goal.

Heckendorn has played in 15 games this season and ranks second on the team with 11 points (four goals and three assists).

TCU opens play in the Big 12 Tournament Wednesday night against Baylor. First kick is slated for 5:30 from Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City.
