Clemmer and Prokof Earn All-Big 12 Honors

FORT WORTH - A pair of TCU soccer underclassmen were honored by league coaches Monday when the Big 12 announced its postseason awards. Bobbi Clemmer was named first-team All-Big 12, while Michelle Prokof was named second-team All-Big 12 in addition to earning a spot on the Big 12 All-Newcomer squad.
Clemmer, a member of the 2012 Big 12 All-Newcomer squad, becomes the first TCU soccer player to earn first-team accolades from the Big 12. She is just the 10th Horned Frog to be named to the first-team in program history. Just a sophomore, Clemmer has played in 17 of TCU's 18 matches this season. She has one goal to go along with two assists on the season.
Prokof leads the team with eight goals and one assist for 17 points in her debut campaign. The eight goals rank fifth in the conference. Of her eight goals, two have been gamewinners. Against Central Arkansas this season, Prokof became the 12th Horned Frog to record a hat trick. She is one of two Big 12 athletes to record a hat trick this season.
TCU opens play in the Big 12 Soccer Championships in Kansas City on Wednesday against Texas Tech. Game time is slated for 8 p.m. at Swope Soccer Village. The game can be seen live on the Big 12 website.
