Four Frogs Earn Postseason Accolades

FORT WORTH – A school-record four TCU soccer athletes have been honored by the United Soccer Coaches Association as All-South Region performers. Ryan Williams became the first-ever first-team All-Region player in program history.

Katie Lund and Karitas Tomasdottir were named second-team all-South Region, while Yazmeen Ryan was recognized on the third-team.

TCU is coming off yet another successful season in which it appeared in the NCAA Tournament. The Horned Frogs won 12 games and set a school-record with six conference victories en route to finishing third in the Big 12.

Williams helped TCU tie a school record with eight shutouts this season in leading the backline. She tied for the team lead with six assists and also pitched in with a goal for a career-high eight points.

Lund set the school-record and ranked second in the Big 12 this season with a 0.46 goals against average. She played the entirety of seven of TCU’s eight shutouts this season and assisted on the other.

Tomasdottir played the entirety of 15 matches this season. She tied for third with four goals scored and pitched in an assist for nine points. Tomasdottir was one of seven Horned Frogs to have started all 22 games this season.

Ryan had an outstanding debut season tying for third with four goals, five assists and 13 points. Two of her four goals stood up as game-winners.
