March 3, 2018
FORT WORTH, TEXAS -- The No. 14 TCU beach volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to ranked opponents Saturday on the opening day of the Fight in the Fort at the TCU Beach Courts.
"It was a tough day. We couldn't figure out how to win," TCU beach volleyball coach Hector Gutierrez said. "I think the girls competed much better in the second match of the day. This morning was slow, and we paid the price."

"Hopefully we learned a lesson from today," Gutierrez said. "We learned that we need to go out on the court with the mentality of being competitive from the first point. Everyone is getting better and everyone completed really well."
Cal Poly and Tulane will play at 10 a.m.
Against the Green Wave, Bergeson and Jaelyn Greene defeated Tarin Mergener/Ashley Delgado 21-14, 21-13 and Molly Scheel and Hannah Rogers beat Lan Nguyen/Rio Frohoff 21-12, 21-13 as the dual hinged on the final match of the day where Weiser and Claire Doyle lost a tough three-setter to Breana Correa/Lauren Orlich 17-21, 21-18, 15-9.
