FORT WORTH, Texas -- Fifteen TCU student-athletes, representing five sports, took part in a Patient Project on Sunday at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth.

Patient Projects is a program in which community groups visit patients in the medical center and plan a specific activity for them.

The student-athletes worked with the patients on making posters to decorate their rooms, picture frames, rubber band bracelets, foam creations with foam stickers and various other craft projects.

The participating student-athletes were Mattie Burleson (volleyball), Ashle Caldwell (track and field), Macy Capen (volleyball), Makaila Flannigan (track and field), Michelle Fleming (swimming and diving), Taylor Gillette (equestrian), Katelyn Gray (equestrian), Alexia Heist (volleyball), Kelly Johnson (soccer), Veronica Jones (track and field), Lauren Mikulecky (swimming and diving), Michelle Prokof (soccer), Shayda Shah-Hosseini (swimming and diving), Sutton Sunstrum (volleyball) and Mikayla Winkler (swimming and diving).
