Women's Tennis Blanked by No. 2 Cardinal, 7-0

STANFORD, Calif. - The TCU women's tennis team finished up its Pacific coast swing with a tough 7-0 loss at No. 2-ranked Stanford on Monday afternoon. The Frogs fall to 0-3 on the season, while the 2003 NCAA runner-up Cardinal starts the spring 1-0.
For the first time this spring, the Frogs did not capture at least one doubles win. TCU's No. 2 team of senior Saber Pierce and freshman Ana Cetnik came the closest, falling 8-6 to Alice Barnes and Anne Yelsey.
Junior Karla Mancinas won the lone singles set of the day from the Cardinal as she won the second set 6-2 in her match versus Emilia Anderson, forcing the tiebreaker (6-2, 2-6, 1-0(10-6)). Stanford swept the other five singles matches in straight sets.

The Frogs return home to prepare for their first home match of the season. Metroplex-rival SMU comes to the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center on Tuesday, February 10 for a 2:00 p.m. match.
