Matamoros, Mexico - TCU seniors Karla Mancinas and Story Tweedie-Yates kicked off the 2004-05 season for the Frogs at the Matamoros Tournament in Matamoros, Mexico.

After receiving a wild card into the singles qualifying draw, Mancinas fell to Great Britain's Lucy Fletcher 6-3, 6-0 on Sunday afternoon. She will return to action on Tuesday when she pairs with Tweedie-Yates in the main draw in doubles. The opponent and bracket will be announced later tonight.

Tomorrow, Tweedie-Yates will play for the first time in Purple and White when she competes in the first round of the 32 player main draw. Her opponent has yet to be determined, as the draw will be announced later tonight.

A year ago, Mancinas finished with an 11-12 record in singles action and a 18-11 mark in doubles. Tweedie-Yates played at Stanford University where she had a 9-4 singles and 11-2 doubles record.
