Horned Frog Senior Among Final Eight at Riviera/ITA's

Pacific Palisades, Calif. - TCU senior Story Tweedie-Yates continued to cruise through the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships today with a straight set win over No. 26 Theresa Logar of Stanford 6-3, 6-2. She is now only a pair of wins away from moving on to the championship's final.

Last season, Logar and Tweedie-Yates teamed up to help the Cardinal win the team title at the 2004 NCAA Championships. The pair also competed together in doubles play and won the 2004 Pac-10 Invitational doubles championship. After the season, Tweedie-Yates was granted her release and signed on to play for TCU in May.

Tweedie-Yates will take on Florida's Zerene Reyes in quarterfinal action on Saturday. No. 47 Reyes, who also advanced into the main draw via the qualifying tournament, defeated No. 11 Dea Sumantri of Washington 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 to remain as one of the final eight competitors in the field.
