FORT WORTH, Texas – The No. 40 TCU women’s tennis team will play host to No. 31 Memphis on Sunday, Feb. 16 at noon at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

This is the second meeting between the Horned Frogs (3-4, 0-0 Big 12) and the Tigers (4-2, 0-0 AAC) in the all-time series record. The only other matchup came in 1996, as TCU blanked Memphis 7-0 at home.

TCU is hoping to bounce back from dropping three matches on the road to highly ranked opponents. The Frogs were without three of the top four singles players for the matches due to injuries and are coming into the match with a weekend off.

Stefanie Tan is ranked No. 52 nationally in singles action and is 3-0 on the season at No. 1 singles for the Frogs. Tan’s double partner, Simona Parajova, is also 3-0 on the year with all of her wins coming at No. 2 singles.

Mimi Fotopoulos boasts only one loss this year with a 3-1 record and is coming off a successful weekend where she upended her first ranked opponent in No. 110 Mara Schmidt of Purdue and posted her first win at No. 1 singles.

Memphis posted two wins last weekend with a 5-0 decision over Murray State and a 4-0 win over Chattanooga. Stefanie Mikesz is 4-2 at the No. 1 singles position and is ranked No. 99 nationally. Alyssa Hibberd and Caroline Wegner are 3-3 on court one for doubles and sit at No. 38 in the country.

Live stats of the match, final results and a recap can be found at GoFrogs.com after the completion of the competition.
