Horned Frogs Prep for Double Header

FORT WORTH, Texas – The No. 70 TCU women’s tennis team is set to welcome Louisiana Tech and No. 68 North Florida for a double header on Tuesday, Mar. 11 at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. The Horned Frogs (5-7) will first take on the Lady Techsters (10-1) at 10 a.m., before taking on the Ospreys (5-1) at 3 p.m., on the Bernard J. ‘Tut’ Bartzen Varsity Courts. Free pizza will be served to fans in between the singles and doubles matches of both competitions. TCU Noteables No. 53 Stefanie Tan continues to pace TCU at No. 1 singles with a 7-1 record in dual matches, while also posting a 9-4 record against ranked opponents since the fall. Tan and doubles partner Seda Arantekin lead the team with a 3-1 record in doubles matches. Simona Parajova continues to be unbeaten at No. 2 singles with an 8-0 record. The Slovakia native has won all of her matches except for one in straight sets. The last time Parajova had to go to a third set was on Jan. 24 against Franz Goettsching of UC Irvine, where she pulled out a 6-1, 3-6, 10-3 victory. Scouting the Opponents North Florida is coming off a 4-3 victory over UNC Wilmington and are appearing in the latest ITA poll for the first time this season at No. 68. Taylor Hollander and Michelle Valdez lead the team in singles with 5-1 records, while Simona Weymar is 4-2 all at No. 1 singles. Weymer and Esther Zuniga have only one loss on the season on court two of doubles, while Hollander and Marina Cunningham lead the team with a 4-1 record. All-Time Series Records Live Results
