FORT WORTH – The TCU women’s tennis team begins competition at the Big 12 Tennis Championships Friday at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Okla. The No. 4 seed Horned Frogs will take on No. 5 seed Oklahoma State at noon. Live scoring will be available at soonersports.com.
A victory for the Horned Frogs will advance them to the semifinals to face the winner of No. 1 Baylor and No. 8 Kansas in a Saturday, 3 p.m. match.
TCU, who earned its No. 4 seed with a 6-3 Big 12 record, posted a 5-2 win at Oklahoma State back on April 12. The Frogs dropped the doubles point, but came back strong to win five singles matches.

The Horned Frogs, now ranked No. 27 by the ITA, have two ranked in singles with Stefanie Tan ranked No. 52 and Olivia Smith coming in at No. 113. TCU also features the Big 12 champion at No. 3 singles in Simona Parajova.
The doubles team of Smith and Millie Nichols are ranked No. 53 in the nation. Smith and Tan, fresh off their upset of then No. 13 Breaunna Addison/Noel Scott of Texas, are the No. 70 doubles tandem in the country.
The No. 32 Cowgirls feature the No. 63 ranked singles player in the country in Malika Rose. The OSU doubles pairing of Rose and Kanyapat Narattana are No. 31 in the nation.
