FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU women's tennis sophomore Nina Munch-Soegaard was named the ITA Player to Watch, while Colin Foster was named the ITA Assistant Coach of the Year for the Southwest region on Monday. The Horned Frogs wrapped up the season over the weekend in the NCAA Regionals.

Munch-Soegaard, a native of Amarillo, Texas, posted a 16-8 record this spring at the top singles position, and an overall mark of 26-11 during the 2007-08 season. Munch-Soegaard is currently ranked No. 60 nationally, and defeated nine ranked opponents this season. The ITA regional award is the latest accolade for Munch-Soegaard this season, who also earned all-conference singles honors and was named the Tennis Athlete of the Year by the Texas Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame in January. Munch-Soegaard is the first alternate for singles play at the NCAA Individual Championships.

Foster was named the ITA Assistant Coach of the Year after helping guide the Frogs to an overall mark of 20-6 this spring. TCU went undefeated in conference play to claim the Mountain West Conference regular season title, and reached the finals at the conference tournament. The Frogs have spent the last nine weeks ranked in the top 30, and posted 12 wins this spring over ranked opponents. The Western Springs, Ill., native is in his second year at TCU and starred for four years at Purdue University.
