FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU women's tennis players Nina Munch-Soegaard and Anna Sydorska garnered final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) singles rankings, while the duo of Sydorska and Macall Harkins also ended the season ranked nationally. TCU has now had at least one player in the final individual rankings for the last seven seasons.

Munch-Soegaard, a sophomore from Amarillo, Texas, earned a final national singles ranking of No. 62 and a Southwest regional ranking of No. 6 after posting a record of 16-8 this spring at the top position and an overall mark of 26-11. Munch-Soegaard earned all-conference singles honors for the second consecutive year and defeated nine ranked opponents overall during the 2007-08 season. Munch-Soegaard has now earned final rankings each of her first two seasons at TCU, garnering a No. 109 ranking last year.

Sydorska, a native of Lviv, Ukraine, garnered a national ranking of No. 125 and a regional ranking of No. 10 after putting together a dual-match record of 15-7 primarily at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Overall in 2007-08, Sydorska notched an 18-9 record and defeated two ranked opponents. The TCU junior has ended all three seasons at TCU with a final singles ranking.

The TCU doubles duo of Sydorska and Harkins earned a No. 19 final national ranking and a No. 2 regional ranking after advancing to the round of 16 at the NCAA Championships. Harkins and Sydorska posted a 21-11 overall mark and a 13-7 record this past spring at the top position. Sydorska earned her third consecutive final doubles ranking while at TCU, all of which were in the top-25 nationally.

Harkins and Katariina Tuohimaa ended the season ranked No. 13 and No. 22, respectively, in the Southwest region. Harkins, a junior from Palos Verdes, Calif., went 18-10 overall and 15-7 this spring during her first year of action at TCU. Harkins posted a 7-1 record in Mountain West Conference play to earn league honors.

Tuohimaa, a native of Helsinki, Finland, led the Frogs in the spring with a stellar 21-4 mark. The TCU freshman earned all-conference honors after notching a 9-1 record in league play.

Tuohimaa also appeared in the regional doubles rankings with fellow newcomer Idunn Hertzberg, as the duo finished ranked No. 15. The tandem went 8-1 this spring, including a perfect 8-0 mark in league play, and received all-conference honors.
