Summer Update: Aleksandra Zenovka

June 8, 2016

FORT WORTH, Texas – Every member of the TCU women’s tennis team has returned home for the summer and has been hard a work preparing for the upcoming season and enjoying time with friends and family. Each week, we will take a look at what a different member of the team has been up to and first up is junior Aleksandra Zenovka.

Zenovka, a native of Moscow, Russia, has been helping her father at the UIPM World Championships for the modern pentathlon. Zenovka’s father, Eduard, was an Olympian for Russia in the modern pentathlon and won two silver medals and a bronze medal at the 1992 and 1996 Olympic games. The junior spent a week with the media portion of the competition helping the national sport channel with a multitude of tasks. She hasn’t forgotten about tennis and has been getting tons of practice in as well with her serve.

TCU returns all but one letterwinner from the 2016 season that saw the Horned Frogs finish in a tie for second in the Big 12 Conference and advance to the second round of the NCAA Championship for the second straight season. Zenovka finished her sophomore season at TCU with a team-high 24 wins in singles action with a 12-5 mark in dual matches.
