NASHVILLE, Tenn. - TCU's women's volleyball team picked up its first win of the season Saturday afternoon, a 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-15) win over Alabama A&M inside Belmont's Curb Event Center.

The Horned Frogs improved to 1-1 on the year, while the Bulldogs dropped to 0-2. The match was game four of the Belmont Invitational.

Senior Megan Munce filled the stat line in the first set, scoring nine points. The setter from Costa Mesa, Calif., tallied six kills and three aces in the game, along with nine assists. Her third ace moved her into second all-time at TCU with 142 aces. Munce added another ace in the third set.

Also in the first set, Yvonne Igodan notched four kills, while Sloane Sunstrum and Mattie Burleson added two apiece to lead the Frogs to a 25-17 set one win.

A healthy lead gave the Frogs a chance to mix up their lineup in the third and final set, as four Holland kills and three from Igodan while playing outside hitter gave her nine for the match. Pickens added three more kills in the deciding set, a 25-15 TCU triumph.

On defense, Meghan Horio had 12 digs and freshman Alexia Heist added 10 of her own. Heist added 15 assists to tally her first-career double-double. The freshman from El Paso, Texas, played setter for the majority of the third set.
