FORT WORTH, Texas - In front of a record-breaking, energetic crowd of 1,875, the TCU Horned Frogs cruised to a 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-10) win over No. 25 Colorado State, snapping its 12 match winning streak. Christy Hudson led all hitters with 11 kills, while Megan Munce posted her 10th double-double with 29 assists and 10 digs.

A tremendous effort in all facets of the game helped pull the Frogs to within a game of first place in the Mountain West. The Frogs hit .224 with 38 kills and held the Rams to just 33 kills and an attack percentage of .097. TCU served up seven aces led by three from Munce and two each from Kristen Hester and Meghan Horio. Kourtney Edwards contributed eight kills and a match-high five blocks. Four

Frogs reached double-digits in digs with Katelyn Blackwood leading the way with 14. Irene Hester tallied 13 and Lauren Otto and Munce each finished with 10.

Colorado State grabbed the early momentum as they raced out to a 15-11 lead. The Frogs had an answer in the form of Munce as she served the Frogs to a 7-0 run to put TCU on top, 18-16. Two kills from Hudson and a kill each from Irene Hester and Otto kept the rally going.

The Rams answered back with a 4-0 run of their own, but a service error put the ball back in the hands of the Frogs. A block by Hudson and Edwards tied the set at 23 and Edwards dropped in her third kill of the set to give the Frogs set point. Horio finished off the first-set victory with her second ace of the set.

TCU took control of the second set as it attempted to get a stranglehold on the match. The Frogs raced out to an 11-4 lead. Kristen Hester started the set with two kills around a Munce ace to get the Frogs rolling. Otto and Hudson kept things going as the Frog lead continued to grow.

Colorado State wouldn't go quietly as it clawed its way back to eventually tie the set at 18. A back-and-forth battle ensued before back-to-back kills from Irene Hester gave the Frogs a two-point cushion, 22-20. Otto gave the Frogs set point and Hudson finished off the 25-22 win with her sixth kill of the set.

Complete domination by the Frogs in the third set ensured the sweep as they took a 25-10 victory. Nine hitting errors and three service errors by the Rams helped the Frogs cause.

Munce, Kristen Hester and Horio helped the Frogs build a commanding 13-4 with an impressive serving game. Horio reeled off five straight points on here serve and was aided by outstanding defense from the back row. A kill by Irene Hester gave the Frogs a 10-point lead at 16-6.

Kristen Hester gave the Frogs match point with her sixth kill of the match and finished it with the Frogs seventh ace of the night.

TCU improves to 18-5 overall and 7-2 in league play. The Frogs return to the court Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m when they host Wyoming.
