FORT WORTH, Texas - A total of 13 matches against 2016 NCAA tournament teams and top-50 RPI opponents along with 14 home matches highlights the 2017 TCU women's volleyball schedule, as announced by Director of Volleyball Jill Kramer on Monday.

"We are excited to get back in the gym with our complete team in August and prepare for another great year of Horned Frogs Volleyball," Kramer said. "We've put together a schedule this year that will give us solid competition from day one.   

"Our attendance continues to climb steadily making our venue one of the toughest places to play in the Big 12. Our fans make our atmosphere electric and we can't wait for our fans to a part of the action again this season."

For the third straight season, the Horned Frogs will open the season at home by hosting two RPI top 100 opponents in UTSA and Coastal Carolina from Aug. 25-26 in the Cowtown Classic. TCU will also welcome Rice on Sunday, Aug. 27 for a nonconference showdown with all three matches from the opening weekend being played in The Rickel.

The month of September will feature two tournaments on the road for TCU, as the team will first travel to NCAA Sweet 16 opponent Florida State to face the Seminoles along with Colorado State and UNC Ashville from Sept. 1-3 in Tallahassee, Fla. Before hitting the road for another tournament, the Frogs will return to the friendly confines of The Rickel to welcome Duke, Lehigh and Utah Valley for Fight in the Fort from Sept. 8-9.

Tournament action for the 2017 season will conclude with a short trip across the Metroplex to Dallas to face top-25 RPI opponent and 2016 NCAA participate SMU along with Sam Houston State on Sept. 15-16.

Big 12 action will kick-off on the road for two of the first three matches as the team travels to Morgantown, W. Va., to face West Virginia on Sept. 20 and then to Lawrence, Kan., to take on Kansas on Sept. 30. Before the match at Kansas, TCU will begin conference play at home by welcoming Baylor on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Two straight home matches against Kansas State (Oct. 4) and Texas (Oct. 7) will start the month of October before the team takes to the road for a final nonconference match against Texas State on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m., in San Marcos, Texas.

The last four matches of the month of October will be split between home and on the road starting with a match at Texas Tech on Oct. 14. The team will return to The Rickel to welcome Oklahoma before concluding the first half of Big 12 play by traveling to Ames, Iowa to face Iowa State on Oct. 21. A match at home against West Virginia will end the month as the team kicks-off the final half of conference action.

November will start on the road against Baylor on Nov. 1 with the Frogs returning to Fort Worth to welcome Kansas next on the slate on Nov. 4. Two straight road matches at Texas (Nov. 8) and at Kansas State (Nov. 11) are next up before TCU returns home for a two-match home stand. The Frogs will welcome Texas Tech on Wednesday, Nov. 15 before a final home match and Senior Day against Iowa State on Saturday, Nov. 18. The team will get one final bye of the season before ending the regular season on the road as the team travels to Norman, Okla., to face Oklahoma on Saturday, Nov. 25.

Season tickets for the TCU volleyball season will go on sale Thursday, June 1. Adult season tickets are $75, youth season tickets are $50 and a Family 4-pack of season tickets can be purchased for $240. Single game tickets can be bought starting Tuesday, August 1, with fans able to purchase adult tickets for $10, youth tickets for $5 and $3 tickets for groups of 20 or more. All tickets to the home match against Baylor (Sept. 23) will be $10 and no group tickets will be available for the match against Texas (Oct. 7).
