The TCU volleyball team has arrived for their 10 day adventure in Italy! A different member of the team will share a blog about the journey daily as the team experiences the Italian culture and competes against some of the top teams in the country. Sophomores Natalie Gower and Jen Miller share today's blog and fill the fans in on the first day of practice and the sightseeing in Milan.

Hello Frog Fans!

Practice today was really just to get our bodies moving after a long, stiff flight and to get used to the balls. The balls here in Italy are a different brand than we're used to, so they are much harder to pass off serve receive and float a little differently when you hit them.

After practice, we had a delicious meal of bread, pasta, ham, and peas in the practice facility. After that, we headed back to the hotel, showered, and got ready to see Milan! A few hair dryers blew out due to the difference of voltage here in Italy compared to back home, but that didn't stop us from heading to the stores in downtown Milan. We got some shopping done and then ate delicious, authentic Italian pizzas, and now we are headed to sleep! I'm sure we'll sleep wonderfully due to not being in a bed for nearly 48 hours, but we can't wait to play tomorrow and see what else Milan has to offer!
