June 2, 2014
The TCU volleyball team has arrived for their 10 day adventure in Italy! A different member of the team will share a blog about the journey daily as the team experiences the Italian culture and competes against some of the top teams in the country. Shane Peters and Chyanne Perkins are the writers of today's blog and fill us in on the team's day trip to Cinque Terre.
Hello Frog Fans!
We are currently staying in Pisa , but today we took a day trip to Cinque Terre - the five lands. After taking a couple trains, we began our journey in Monterosso and from there we made a two hour hike through the mountains to Vernazza. The hike consisted of a lot of stair climbing, however, it was completely worth it because the view was stunning. Once we finished our hike in Vernazza, we all walked around and took in the beautiful city. Some girls and coaches even took a swim in the Mediterranean Sea. Also, many of the girls bought pesto, since it is one of the many things Cinque Terre is known for as well as its beautiful coast. A few trains later and we were back in Pisa where we ate dinner at our hotel. Now it is off to Rome in the morning.
