2013 VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULE

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU volleyball program announced its 2013 Big 12 conference slate Tuesday.

The league sent a total of five teams to the NCAA Tournament this past season, marking the fourth-straight year in which the Big 12 has had five or more teams earn postseason bids. The conference has also now had 11 squads advance to the NCAA Final Four since 1996.

The Big 12 has hoisted three NCAA Championships since its inception, while Texas (No. 1), Iowa State (No. 14) and Kansas (No. 25) all wrapped-up the 2012 campaign ranked in the final AVCA poll. In all, the Big 12 has had three teams finish in the top 25 during each year and a total of 67 top 25 finishes all-time.

Broadcast information for all matches will be announced at a later date. Dates are subject to change based off of television.

The Horned Frogs begin conference play at home on Wednesday, Sept. 25 against defending National Champion Texas, who went 29-4 last season on its way to the title. Following a trip to 2012 NCAA Tournament participant Kansas on Saturday, Sept. 28, the Frogs return home to open the month of October against West Virginia on Oct. 2.

TCU will continue play in October at K-State on Saturday, Oct. 5. The Wildcats qualified for the NCAA field a year ago and finished the season receiving votes in the national poll. After returning to Fort Worth to battle Texas Tech (Oct. 12), the Purple and White will head to Waco for a mid-week match against Baylor (Oct. 16).

Following a home contest against Oklahoma, who captured 22 wins and fell in the second round of the NCAA field a year ago, on Wednesday, Oct. 23, TCU will close the month with back-to-back road contests at Iowa State (Oct. 26) and Texas (Oct. 30). The Cyclones are coming off a season in which they advanced to the final round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament and closed the year with a 22-7 record.

The Frogs open the month of November with two-straight conference games at the University Rec Center against Kansas (Nov. 2) and Baylor (Nov. 9), respectively. The Purple and White will then hit the road for back-to-back games against Oklahoma on Wednesday, Nov. 13 and West Virginia on Saturday, Nov. 16.

TCU will close the home portion of its schedule with matches against Iowa State (Nov. 23) and K-State (Nov. 27), before traveling to Texas Tech on Saturday, Nov. 30.
