FORT WORTH, Texas - Fans can get a second glimpse of the 2014 TCU volleyball team, as they welcome back the former letterwinners for the annual Alumni Match on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the University Recreation Center. Admission is free to the event, with first serve set for 2 p.m.

All 14 returners, along with the three newcomers, will see action on the court against 19 former Horned Frogs that make up the alumni roster. 11 All-Conference honorees plus the entire starting lineup from the 2009 squad that earned the program's first berth in the NCAA Championship will represent the alumni tomorrow.

In the first competition of the season, TCU hosted the Purple & White Scrimmage where Regan McGuire and Macy Capen led the Purple Team to a 3-1 victory over the White Team. McGuire's 19 kills and only two errors for a .386 hitting percentage led all players, while Capen notched 17 kills.

The Frogs open their regular season on Friday, Aug. 29 at the Penn State Classic. TCU will take on defending national champion and preseason No. 1 Penn State in their first match of the tournament, with first serve set for 6:30 p.m., CT, in State College, Pa.
