FORT WORTH, Texas -- A new era in TCU volleyball will kick off tomorrow, as the team opens the 2015 season by hosting Abilene Christian, Texas State and UTEP for the Crosstown Classic at the University Recreation Center from Aug. 28-29.
The Horned Frogs (0-0) will begin their first season under the helm of Director of Volleyball Jill Kramer on Friday at 11 a.m., against the Wildcats. TCU will also face the Bobcats on Friday at 6 p.m., and will close out the tournament with the Miners on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Fans unable to attend the match at the Rec Center can see live stat updates through GoFrogs.com, while a live video and audio feed will be available through FrogVision with a CBS Sports All-Access subscription.
Tickets for the action this weekend will be available for purchase at the TCU Ticket Office located inside the Rec Center. One ticket will get you into all the matches for the one day, with adult tickets priced at $10 and youth tickets available for $5. -vs. Abilene Christian at 11 a.m., on Friday -- The first 50 TCU Faculty/Staff in attendance at the match will receive a free chicken biscuit from Chick-fil-A.
-vs. Texas State at 6 p.m., on Friday -- The first 250 TCU students with a valid ID will receive Riff Ram tank top.

-The 2015 season marks the 20th season in the history of the TCU Volleyball program
-This season also marks the first under the helm of TCU alumni and Director of Volleyball Jill (Pape) Kramer
-Kramer (1996-99) was the first scholarship volleyball player on the inaugural team in 1996 and still holds the single-season and career school records in kills and total attacks
-The Horned Frogs will be opening the season at home for the first time since 2011 and are 10-9 in season openers in program history
-TCU returns nine letterwinners and four starters plus the libero from a season ago
-The Horned Frogs also welcome seven newcomers, including three transfers
-Ashley Smith, who garnered All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors a year ago, is the team's top returner after leading TCU with 333 kills and posting 277 digs
-Smith was the only Horned Frog player named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team
-Five of the top seven blockers from a year ago return including single-match record holder Regan McGuire
-McGuire currently sits at No. 7 in the TCU record books with a 0.86 blocks per set average in her young career
-TCU will stick with a 6-2 offense, as senior Alexia Heist will be joined by transfer Kaylee Smith in guiding the hitters this season
-With 1,655 assists in her career, Heist sits at No. 6 in the TCU career record books and could move into the No. 5 spot by totaling 635 assists this season
-TCU also returners its two most efficient hitters from a season ago, as Blaire Pickens (.301) and McGuire (.329) will be on the offensive again
-After collecting 405 digs last year, Sutton Sunstrum will be back at libero to anchor the TCU defense
-Sunstrum is one of the three seniors and is closing in on 1,000 digs with 918 in her career
TCU will hit the road for the first time this season, as they travel to San Diego, Calif., for the SDSU/USD Invitational on Sept. 4-5. The Frogs will open with Dartmouth on Friday, before taking on hosts San Diego State and San Diego on Saturday.
