FORT WORTH, Texas -- A final weekend at home will conclude the 2016 preseason for the TCU volleyball team as they are set to host No. 8 North Carolina, Sam Houston State and Metroplex rival SMU in the Horned Frogs Classic from Sept. 15-17 inside The Rickel at the University Recreation Center.

The Horned Frogs (5-2) will open the tournament with the Bearkats (6-4) on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., with the match airing live on FSSW with Chuck LaMendola and Alexia Heist on the call. TCU will continue action with the Mustangs (5-4) on Friday at 6:30 p.m., before concluding the tournament with the Tar Heels (6-1) on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Fans unable to attend the SMU or UNC matches at the Rec Center can see live stat updates through GoFrogs.com, while a live video and audio feed will be available through FrogVision with a CBS Sports All-Access subscription.

Clear Bag Policy
Only the following items will be permitted upon entrance into TCU athletics facilities:
-Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceeding 14 inches by 14 inches
-One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
-One unopened bottle of water
-Small clutch bags with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue with one of the clear plastic bags
-The Small clutch bags must be approximately the size of a hand 
-Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at stadium/arena gates
-Backpacks, diaper bags and other similar bags will not be allowed

Tickets
Tickets for the action this weekend will be available for purchase at the TCU Ticket Office located inside the Rec Center. Every single match, with the exception of the UNC vs. SMU match on Saturday at Noon, will be ticketed with adult tickets priced at $10 and youth tickets available for $5. -The 2016 season marks the 21st season in the history of the TCU Volleyball program
-This season also marks the second under the helm of alumni and Director of Volleyball Jill (Pape) Kramer
-Kramer (1996-99) was the first scholarship volleyball player on the inaugural team in 1996 and still holds the single-season and career school records in kills and total attacks
-TCU returns 10 letterwinners and five starters from a season ago and also welcome nine newcomers, including three transfers
-91% of the offense returns for the 2016 season along with 95% of the defense at the net in blocking
-The squad includes seven seniors this season including All-American Ashley Smith and AVCA All-Southwest Region honorees Regan McGuire and Natalie Gower
-Smith, who has led the team in kills per set the last three seasons, was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 team for the second straight season
-Two other key returners are Sarita Mikals and Jillian Bergeson who spent their springs honing their skills on the beach courts
-The Frogs have great offensive depth which means a 6-2 will be in play again with Kaylee Smith and Lamprini Konstantinidou guiding the offense
-TCU brought in a stud of a freshmen class which was ranked for the first time in program history by Prepvolleyball.com by coming in at No. 15
-Last weekend, TCU went 1-1 with a sweep of Chattanooga and a loss to Bluejay Invitational host Creighton
-McGuire was named to the All-Tournament Team after leading TCU with 18 kills, 3.00 kills per set, a .516 hitting clip and 1.50 blocks per set
-Mikals recently broke the school record for digs in a single match as the senior picked up 36 in the five-set come back against Duke on Sept. 2
-TCU has a very balanced offensive attack with five players currently averaging over 2.00 kills per set
