FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's volleyball is set to welcome the Oklahoma Sooners to the University Recreation Center on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m., with the match set to air live on FSSW+, FS Oklahoma and FCS Central.

The Horned Frogs (13-7, 2-4 Big 12) and the Sooners (16-4, 4-2 Big 12) are both coming off 3-0 sweeps of Baylor last week, with TCU defeating the Bears on Wednesday and Oklahoma downing them on Saturday.

Freshman Natalie Gower led TCU for the second match in a row with double-digit kills by recording 10 against the Bears. Gower continued her career-night by also serving up four service aces, five total blocks and notching a .400 hitting percentage. For her efforts, Gower was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week.

The Sooners have only suffered four losses this season and sit at No. 3 in the conference standings. Oklahoma is under the leadership of senior Sallie McLaurin, who leads the team with 3.68 kills per set and a Big 12 Conference-best .451 hitting percentage. Sophomore libero Taylor Migliazzo leads the team with 3.88 digs per set, while senior outside hitter Kelia Rodriguez has contributed on both sides of the ball with 3.38 digs and 2.27 kills per set.

TCU and Oklahoma are meeting for the eighth time, with the Sooners holding a 6-1 advantage in the series. The teams met every year from 2004-08 and renewed the series last fall twice in conference play.

TCU QUICK HITS
-The Horned Frogs are riding a winning streak after sweeping Baylor last Wednesday night for its second conference win of the season.
-Natalie Gower recently was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week after her performance in Waco last week.
-Gower was the only player ranked in the top 10 in the conference statistics in five categories (hitting percentage, blocks, points, kills and service aces) for the week.
-Yvonne Igodan continues to pace the TCU offense with 193 kills on the season and 2.72 kills per set.
-Igodan and Gower rank in the top 10 in the conference in hitting percentage at No. 7 (.317) and No. 5 (.343), respectively.
-Alexia Heist and Trisha Langely are guiding the TCU offense with 420 and 313 assists, respectively, while Langley leads the team with 19 service aces.
-Shane Peters is roaming the back court as libero and leads the team with 243 digs and 3.42 digs per set, including recording a career-high 23 digs against Kansas State.
-Mattie Burleson is taking charge at the net and is ranked No. 7 in the Big 12 in blocks per set with 1.13 and leads the team with 76 blocks.

TCU VS. OKLAHOMA SERIES NOTES
-TCU and Oklahoma are meeting for the eighth time, with the Sooners holding a 6-1 advantage in the series.

BREAKING DOWN THE OPPONENT - OKLAHOMA
-Oklahoma is also coming off a sweep of Baylor last week, after playing the Bears on Saturday and sit at 4-2 in conference play and 16-4 overall this season.
-Senior middle blocker Sallie McLaurin leads the way for the Sooner attack with 3.68 kills per set and a league-leading .451 hitting percentage.
-McLaurin moved into 10th all-time on the career kills list at OU with 1,182 as she knocked down 13 against Baylor.
-Sophomore outside hitter Kierra Holst is second on the team in both categories at 3.00 kills per set and a .237 hitting percentage.
-Sophomore libero Taylor Migliazzo leads the team with 3.88 digs per set, while senior outside hitter Keila Rodriguez has contributed on both sides of the ball with 3.38 digs and 2.27 kills per set.
-At the onset of week seven of the season, the NCAA released its first RPI rankings. Following a 1-0 week, Oklahoma, who started at No. 19, remained at No. 15 as it seeks its fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament.
-Oklahoma found itself right outside the top 25 in this week's AVCA poll and received 44 votes after going 1-0 last week.

GOWER EARNS WEEKLY HONOR
-Freshman Natalie Gower earned TCU's first Big 12 weekly honor of the season on Monday when she was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week.
-For the week, the St. Louis, Mo native was the only player ranked in the top 10 in the conference statistics in five categories (hitting percentage, blocks, points, kills and service aces).
-The freshman middle blocker led the league for the week in points per set (5.83) and service aces per set (1.33), while ranking third with 1.67 blocks per set.
-In their only Big 12 match for the week against the Bears, Gower led the Horned Frogs for the second match in a row with double digit kills (10), while also posting a career-high four service aces.
-In Big 12-only matches, Gower is seventh in hitting percentage and eighth in service aces and blocks.

TV DARLINGS
-TCU is making appearances on the FOX Broadcasting channel six times this season and other stations a total of 10 times.
-The Frogs won their first television match of the season and home opener against North Texas on Sept. 11, 3-0 and defeated Stephen F. Austin 3-1 in the team's second TV match.
-Big 12 matches against Texas (Sept. 25), West Virginia (Oct. 2), at Baylor (Oct. 16) and Oklahoma (Oct. 23) will also get the television coverage on FSSW+ and FOX Sports Southwest.
-The Frogs will also be getting coverage at Kansas on Sept. 28 (MetroSports/ESPN3), at Kansas State on Oct. 5 (FOX College Sports Central/K-StateHD.TV), at Texas on Oct. 30 (Longhorn Network) and at Oklahoma on Nov. 13 (Sooner Sports TV).
