FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU volleyball will wrap up the first half of Big 12 Conference play by taking a road trip to Ames, Iowa for a 5 p.m., matchup with Iowa State at the Hilton Coliseum.

This is only the third meeting between the Horned Frogs (13-8, 2-5 Big 12) and the Cyclones (11-6, 5-2 Big 12), with the match airing live on Cyclones.TV and live audio available at GoFrogs.com, with Jeff Lewis on the call.

TCU QUICK HITS
-The Horned Frogs are looking for their first win against Iowa State in program history, as TCU travels to Ames for the first matchup between the teams this year.
-Natalie Gower recently was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week after her performance in Waco last week.
-Gower was the only player ranked in the top 10 in the conference statistics in five categories (hitting percentage, blocks, points, kills and service aces).
-Yvonne Igodan continues to pace the TCU offense with 205 kills on the season and 2.70 kills per set.
-Igodan and Gower rank in the top 10 in the conference in hitting percentage at No. 7 (.319) and No. 5 (.322), respectively.
-Alexia Heist and Trisha Langely are guiding the TCU offense with 446 and 327 assists, respectively, while Langley leads the team with 19 service aces.
-Shane Peters is roaming the back court as libero and leads the team with 270 digs and 3.55 digs per set, including recording a career-high 27 digs against Oklahoma on Wednesday night.
-Mattie Burleson is taking charge at the net and is ranked No. 8 in the Big 12 in blocks per set with 1.10 and leads the team with 79 blocks.

TCU VS. IOWA STATE SERIES NOTES
-TCU and Iowa State are meeting for the third time, with the Cyclones holding a 2-0 advantage in the series.
-The teams had never played each other in program history until TCU joined the Big 12 last season.
-In the two meetings last fall in Big 12 play, Iowa State won both matchups, with the Cyclones sweeping both matches.

BREAKING DOWN THE OPPONENT - IOWA STATE
-Iowa State is coming off a five-set win over No. 22 Kansas on Wednesday night and picked up its first win over a ranked opponent in the 2013 season.
-Senior libero Kristen Hahn finished the match with 35 digs and extended her streak of having at least 10 digs in a match to 57.
-Hahn sits at the top of the Big 12 with 5.74 digs per set, which is good for No. 6 in the nation.
-Reigning Big 12 Freshman of the Year Mackenzie Bigbee paces the Cyclone offense with 199 kills and 3.26 kills per set, which is good for No. 7 in the Big 12.
-Freshman Ciara Capezio also helps carry the offensive load with 177 kills on the season, while also recording nine double-doubles so far this season.
-Tenisha Matlock led Iowa State in the match against the Jayhawks with a match-high 18 kills, as the senior has 145 kills on the season and a .359 hitting percentage, which is ranked No. 3 in the Big 12.
-At 1.55 service aces per set, Iowa State sits atop the Big 12 and at No. 20 in the nation behind the service line.
-The Cyclone have three players ranked in the top 10 of the league standings with Tory Knuth at No. 1 (0.45) and No. 10 in the nation, while Capezio is at No. 5 (0.31) and Caitlin Nolan is at No. 7 (0.27) in the Big 12.
-Jennelle Hudson is dishing out the assists for Iowa State with 701 on the season at 11.31 assists per set, which is ranked No. 2 in the Big 12 and No. 17 in the nation.

LAST TIME OUT - OKLAHOMA RECAP
-The TCU volleyball team fell just short to Oklahoma 3-2 (16-25, 25-17, 22-25, 25- 21, 9-15), in a five-set thriller at the University Recreation Center.
-The Horned Frogs (13-8, 2-5 Big 12) and the Sooners (17-4, 5-2 Big 12) battled for four straight sets, but TCU ran out of steam in its second straight five-set match at home, as Oklahoma claimed the fifth set and the match.
-The Frogs had three players record double-digit kills, with Ashley Smith leading the way with 17 kills, while Yvonne Igodan and Natalie Gower recorded 12 and 11 kills, respectively.
-Shane Peters had her highest dig total of her young career, by finishing with a match-high 27 digs, while Sutton Sunstrum added a season-high 18 digs.
-Alexia Heist finished with a double-double of 26 assists and 13 digs, while also chipping in three service aces.
