FORT WORTH, Texas (November 5, 2013) - The TCU volleyball team will face its last nonconference opponent of the 2013 season as the team travels to Prairie View, Texas to take on Prairie View A&M on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m.

The Horned Frogs (13-11, 2-8 Big 12) and the Panthers (10-23, 4-4 SWAC) are meeting for the sixth time in program history and only the second time on the home court of PVAMU - the William J. Nicks Building.

TCU QUICK HITS
-The Horned Frogs are looking to break a four-game losing streak, as the team plays its final nonconference tilt of the season by heading to Prairie View A&M.
-TCU started the second half of Big 12 play by going four sets with No. 1 Texas - the team's first time taking on the No. 1 team in the nation and its first time taking a set from the Longhorns in program history.
-TCU holds a 5-0 advantage in the series against the Panthers and will be playing on their home court for only the second time in program history.
-Yvonne Igodan continues to pace the TCU offense with 230 kills on the season and 2.64 kills per set.
-Igodan and Natalie Gower rank in the top 10 in the conference in hitting percentage at No. 8 (.308) and No. 9 (.302), respectively.
-Alexia Heist and Trisha Langely are guiding the TCU offense with 505 and 373 assists, respectively, while Langley leads the team with 24 service aces.
-Shane Peters is roaming the back court as libero and leads the team with 295 digs and 3.47 digs per set, including recording a career-high 27 digs against Oklahoma.
-Mattie Burleson is taking charge at the net and is ranked No. 8 in the Big 12 in blocks per set with 1.07 and leads the team with 88 blocks.

TCU VS. PRAIRIE VIEW A&M SERIES NOTES
-TCU and Kansas are meeting for the sixth time, with the Horned Frogs holding a 5-0 advantage in the series.
-This is the first time since the two teams met back in 2003 that they are meeting up on Prairie View's home court.
-All five meetings between the teams have been sweeps by TCU, with the most recent one coming last fall in Fort Worth.

           -Last Meeting: Sept. 28, 2013 - TCU 3, PVAMU 0

BREAKING DOWN THE OPPONENT- PRAIRIE VIEW A&M
-The Panthers are coming off a four-set victory over UAPB that snapped a two-game losing streak.
-Junior Candyce Alexander was named SWAC Newcomer of the week after the finishing last week with 24 kills, 15 digs and three blocks.
-PVAMU started the season with a win, but then dropped the next 13 matches, before picking up their next win.
-Alexander leads PVAM on the season with 225 kills and 2.18 kills per set, while Magda Zietek also helps with the offensive load with 219 kills and 2.49 kills per set.
-Kelsey Espinosa is setting the tone for the Panthers offense and has 734 assits this year for a 6.92 assists per set average.
-The Panthers are averaging over 1.41 service aces per set, with Espinosa leading the way with a team-high 24 service aces, while LaKeisha Allen and Paige Chuidlan each have 21.
-PVAMU is sitting right at .500 in conference play, with two wins over Grambling State and Southern and a victory over Alcorn State.
