FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU volleyball team will begin a week of two straight road matches by traveling to Austin, Texas to take on No. 3 Texas on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m., at Gregory Gym.

The match between the Horned Frogs (10-13, 2-9 Big 12) and the Longhorns (19-2, 11-0 Big 12) will air live on the Longhorn Network with Nell Fortner and Paul Sunderland on the call.

TCU Quick Hits
-This season marks the third under the helm of alumni and Director of Volleyball Jill (Pape) Kramer 
-Kramer (1996-99) was the first scholarship volleyball player on the inaugural team in 1996 and still holds the single-season and career school records in kills and total attacks 
-Kramer has led TCU to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA tournament, has totaled over 100 career wins in her coaching career and was recently inducted into the TCU Lettermen Hall of Fame 
-TCU is now 10-13 on the season and is hitting the road for the next two straight matches starting with No. 3 Texas on Wednesday 
-In the sixth RPI of the season, TCU checks in at No. 64 with the 15th best schedule in the country 
-The Horned Frogs are a young team with all nine true or redshirt freshmen having seen action this season 
-The highest ranked recruit to ever enroll at TCU in Abigail Buckingham has slowly made her way onto the court and is good for 3.00 kills per set 
-Buckingham has put down double-digit kills in eight matches this season and five of the last nine matches and leads the team in conference matches with 3.16 kills per set and a .259 hitting clip 
-True freshmen Dani Dennison, Sarah Swanson and Berklie Baker have appeared in every match this season 
-The TCU offense has been a balanced attack this season with the rotation of pin hitters who are all hitting over 2.00 kills per set 
-Ashleigh Martin has started a `Marty Party' this year as the junior is putting down 2.66 kills per set and double-digit kills in 11 matches this season 
-Anna Walsh is becoming one of the most efficient hitters in the Big 12 as the junior has hit above .300 in 11 matches this season and in five league matches 
-Walsh has put down double-digit kills in 12 matches this season and helps lead the team in Big 12 only match with 2.97 kills per set and .286 hitting clip 
-The junior is also being defensive at the net and is ranked ninth in Big 12 only match with 1.05 blocks per set after recording a season-high 8.0 block at West Virginia 
-Guiding the offense is two experienced setters in seniors Lamprini Konstantindou and Kaylee Smith who are dishing out 6.47 and 4.82 assists per set, respectively 
-Dennison has been the anchor in the back row and is ranked second in the Big 12 with 4.48 digs per set 
-Dennison has picked up double-digit digs in 19 of the 23 matches played this season and 20+ in six 

Scouting the Opponent: #3 Texas
-Texas remains the only undefeated team in Big 12 action with an 11-0 mark and a 19-2 record for the entire season 
-The Longhorns sit at No. 3 in the AVCA poll this week and are coming off a five-set victory over Kansas State on the road and a four-set win over Texas Tech at home 
-Texas is at the top in the nation in blocks per set with the Longhorns putting up 3.32 blocks per set and Chiaka Ogbogu individually leading the country with 1.81 blocks per set 
-Outside hitters Lexi Sun and Micaya White are leading the Texas offensive charge with 3.49 and 3.36 kills per set, respectively 
-White, who plays all six rotations, is also picking up 2.36 digs per set and is good for 0.84 blocks per set 
-Freshman Ashley Shook is dishing out the assists for Texas with 10.55 assists per set while also picking up 2.45 digs per set 
-From the back row, Cat McCoy is in her final season at Texas and is good for 4.38 digs per set while also serving up 0.20 service aces per set 

Last Time We Met: 10/8/17 at TCU
-One of the largest crowds of the season of over 2,000 fans were in attendance on Sunday, Oct. 8 with the No. 5 Texas Longhorns ultimately coming out on top over the TCU volleyball team with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-21) 
-The Horned Frogs and the Longhorns had a tight battle to start the match but a late run proved to be the difference as Texas took the opening set 
-After going up 2-0 with a win in set two, TCU fought back after being down four to take the lead in the third set at 19-16 
-Texas did not back down and used a 9-2 run to close out the set and take the match in straight sets 
-Abigail Buckingham led the TCU offense with 11 kills and a .400 hitting clip with Anna Walsh chipping in eight kills 
-Dani Dennison was good for 12 digs in the match with Berklie Baker picking up nine digs 
-Lamprini Konstantinidou and Kaylee Smith guided the offense with 19 assists and 13 assists, respectively 

Last Time out: vs. #12 Kansas Recap
-Despite taking a set, the TCU volleyball team could not hold off No. 12 Kansas as the Jayhawks came away with a 3-1 (25-23, 25-17, 18-25, 25-17) victory on Saturday afternoon 
-The Horned Frogs went toe-to-toe with the ranked Jayhawks to open the match as Abigail Buckingham put down five kills with the final kill notching the set even at 23-23 
-Kansas responded with two straight kills to take the set and then used the momentum to take a 2-0 lead in the match 
-TCU opened the third frame on a 9-4 run and never looked back as a block from Ashley Waggle and Anna Walsh sealed the 25-18 win 
-The Jayhawks did not back down and used a big run at the start of the fourth set to get the win and finish off the match 
-Buckingham led all players in the match with 15 kills to go along with two digs and a block 
-Ashleigh Martin put down 10 kills while also picking up eight digs with Anna Walsh chipping in nine kills 
-Sarah Swanson was good for eight kills and a .318 hitting clip while Ashley Waggle had six kills and zero errors for a .600 hitting percentage 
-Dani Dennison anchored the back row with 14 digs with Waggle leading the defense at the net with 3.0 blocks
