IRVING, Texas – TCU junior middle blocker Yvonne Igodan has been named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Igodan totaled 30 kills in six sets over the past week, an average of 5.00 per set for the two matches. Her 17 kills in the 3-0 win at Texas Tech are her most in a Big 12 match this season and tied for the fourth-most in a Big 12 three-set match this season.
Against Kansas State, Igodan had 13 kills and no errors on 18 total attacks for an attack percentage of .722. It was the second highest by any Big 12 player this season with a minimum and highest hitting percentage in a Big 12 match. For the week, Igodan posted a .540 attack percentage and assisted on six blocks.
The Houston native was recognized as the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. She also earned the honor on Sept. 4.
TCU returns to action Wednesday when Baylor visits the University Recreation Center. First serve is set for 5 p.m.
